Free Flying

These two seem to be my favourite models. Really, I swear I don't try to photograph them more than anyone else, but just look at how cute they are! How could I help it? So here they are again, Abby (3) and Kenny (1) Walker, my favourite little nieces (technically only nieces but that's inconsequential). Theses shots are being shot up toward the ceiling with the girls suspended above the camera, hence the hair being all everywhere. I enjoy them largely because the direction of the photo is directly forward towards the camera.

Lovely

I've been making a strangely large number of portraits compared to landscapes and still lifes recently. And why wouldn't I with inspiration like this? As an artist I can't help but act on great inspiration. So I end up with lots of beautiful images with a beautiful model. Perhaps portraiture is what I will go into.

Kodak, You Will Be Missed

The biggest name in film photography, the first company to introduce personal handheld cameras, the makers of the absolute best film, has come to an end. Kodak has just declared bankruptcy. While it may not be quite the end of Kodak's life, you can be sure that they will never ever be the same. For anyone who ever shot film, take a minute to mourn Kodak. My very first camera was a Kodak...

Punk Rock Ballerina

This here is my little sister, Maggie. She and I are 3 years apart in age, and very close friends. Because of that, she ends up being my model all the time. She is also a fantastic dancer and a very graceful ballerina. I've been doing a little photography with her dancing for the past week or so, and here are two of the photographs I've made.

Mirrors!

Another fun mirror photo for you. If you look closely you can see the image in the viewfinder is actually the front of the same camera. The light is coming from a couple light sources, bouncing of the camera front, then a mirror parallel with the camera, then into the camera and off it's mirror, through the viewfinder and into my camera's sensor. Mirrors can be such fun.

Something To Reflect On

A recent photoshoot I did with my nieces and a bathroom mirror came up with a few nice images. Among them are Twin and Mirror Connexion.
