Visual Onomatopoeia
Visual Onomatopoeia: An image that depicts a word or phrase written somewhere in the image itself.
The first image, 3D, is a VO because the letters '3D' also signify the three dimensional look shown by the layers and shadows in the picture. The second photo, Open, while photographically sub-par in my opinion, is also a VO because the word in the photo, "open" also describes that the window itself is sort of open; not conventionally open, but has been broken open. One of the redeeming qualities of the photo Open is that it is also ironic.
